The linear velocity of main roll in ring rolling

The linear velocity is proportional to the rotation radius and rotation speed.The linear speed of the main roll is obtained by multiplying the radius of the main roll by the rotational speed of the main roll.
V=r×ω
There are a motor, gear box and main roll in the main roll assembly.
The main roll assembly has a main motor, gear box and main roll.
In general, the main speed displayed on the ring-mill program screen is the rotation speed of the main motor.  The main roll assembly has a main motor, gear box and main roll.
In general, the main speed displayed on the ring-mill program screen is the rotation speed of the main motor.
The rotation speed of the main roll(ωM) is calculated by the rotation speed of the motor(ωm) and the reduction ratio of the gearbox(R).
ωM = ωm×R
Therefore, the linear velocity of the main roll(V) is,
V=R x ωM ( R : reduction ratio of the main gear box,  ωM : rotation speed of the main motor)

Let's calculate the linear velocity of the main roll as an example.
* Main roll radius : 500 mm
* Main motor rotation speed : 1,200 rpm
* The reduction ratio of the main gear box : 1/40
The rotation speed of the main roll(ωM) is,
ωM = 1,200 rpm*(1/40) = 30 rpm
The linear velocity of the main roll(V) is,
V=R x ω = 500 mm x 30 rpm = 500 mm x 30 x 2π rad / 60 s = 1.57 m/s
In general, the linear velocity of the main roll is m/s.
